How many Moss Metallics are there?

Ok, a couple questions. How many moss metallic Souls do we have? From what I can tell it was only offered in the States for 2012-2013, and you couldn't get in in base in 2012. Also, what was the Canadian name for this color, if different?

I've only seen a couple other people with the color on here, and now that I have a Soul, I see them everywhere, but no others in moss. Seems like it's a slightly uncommon color.

There was a Soul model sold in Uk. called the Hunter over that period that was called Moss Green.
For my short edition model the reintroduced the old Vanilla Shake colour.
The codes are international and as far as I have seen the colours have same names. The Kia paints from UK dealers come from Europe from and seem to cover wide distribution.
I would be interested to know where your Kia touchup paints originate from.

Whatever the number is, it's not enough. I love moss green, and I dream of a moss Soul+ with a brown or tan interior. But I had to settle for a dark grey, because it's one of only three USA 2015 colors you can buy without a black interior (light gray, dark gray, white). Sigh...

It's a great shame that it seems most dealers do not think outside the box. I was so, so lucky when we bought our 2011 Soul 4U here in Toronto that my dealer is one that deals with Katskin Leather which is based in California. At that time you couldn't even get Leather on the Soul, but me asking if you could got the Katskin sample catalogue of 140 leathers plonked in front of me at the salesman's desk.

Ok, having the seats and headrests covered in beautiful tan leather cost around $1400 plus tax, but it was all included (and the custom rims) in the 0% finance, so was a rather "painless" high-end extra.........but worth every penny. It surprises me that when Katskin are an OEM supplier (and an American company) that other Kia dealers aren't using them to give their customers the option of getting exactly what they want. You can order whatever mix of leather, stiching, piping and embroidery that you want. Dealers usually send out the new car to a specialist upholstery place to have the OEM Kia seat covers removed and the Katskin Leather installed. 4 years later, our seats are as good as new, comfy and cool.

Color me moss!
I chased around for a 2011 in orange only to wind up with a 2012 moss.
The only thing that keeps me from buying another soul are the color choices.
Moss, Canyon or Vitamin C (hyundai veloster) are my 3 colors of choice.
Other than the yellow, the current color choices leave me cold.

A Moss was the first 2012 I ever saw when they first arrived at dealers...and I really liked it. In fact, I went on the prowl for a used one a year later and even had two dealers looking for one...to no avail. Then....I fell out of love, not sure why except they can look kinda muddy and "military" on a cloudy day or when dirty. But they can look gorgeous in an understated way.

However, Canyon is still my all time favorite color. And there are a number of people who just see it as "brown"...but not me. I also like Java, which I believe was only a 2011 color. I guess as I get older my color tastes have changed. That said, if you have a low mileage Ignition Orange Exclaim you want to sell...call me. :)

A Moss addendum. If you are looking for one on-line, forget using the word "Moss" as your only search word. I have seen dozens of them listed as Brown, Green, Bronze and Gold. Weird huh? I know they change color in the sun somewhat, but I don't think I'd ever use Bronze or Gold. Also, there are two ads in the Atlanta area right now that refer to a Moss as...Java. A 2012 labeled as Java....from a Kia dealer! Whoops.

Not me either!
The Canyon was a flip-flop color as could the moss be to a lesser degree.
Probably a horror show to spot repair so hopefully no owner will ever require one.
The Java would also be on my favorites list as well.

Java would be more rare than the Moss . Java was offered for two years (2010-2011) like the Moss (2012 -2013 ) but unlike the Moss , the Java was only available on the Exclaim , where as the Moss was available on the base , plus and Exclaim .

I may be a little biased , my first Soul was a 2010 Java Exclaim , and at that time I could go a month before seeing another Soul , much less a Java . It was an awesome color .
