I've had my Soul since April 22, 2010.
I previously had an Early Edition, Limited Edition 2001 PT Cruiser (10th PT Cruiser in all of Canada). I did not trade my Cruiser for the Soul.
On April 14th, I was cut off by a car and it redirected me in the side of a Transport truck. Cruiser was totaled.
I had been looking at the soul for a while and told myself that it would be my next car whenever my Cruiser was run to the ground and dead. Well it happened a lot sooner than I had anticipated.

So, what car did your Soul replace?

I replaced my 2009 Honda Fit--and am sooooo happy i did!

1993 Geo Prizm Li (Toyota Corolla) @ 167~K...A/T, A/C, power steer, power brakes (w/ usually non-functioning ABS), power locks, crank windows, after market cruise.

Most reliable car I've owned to date (hopefully the SOUL will claim that title). Purchased in 2003 from 2nd owner @140~K miles for $1200. Put new tires on it right away, later new starter, alternator, tune up, etc....nothing major. Basically put in gas & oil and go! The car never stranded me; always started.

The dealer offered me $500 sight unseen. Picked up my titanium Sport on the last valid day of the Prizm's sticker. Whew! First brand new car since my '78 Chevy Nova, for which I paid cash: incl. tax & reg., $4,325.00!

I'm most likely replacing my wonderful yellow Chevy Aveo hatchback with a Soul 2u. Hate to give up my Aveo but it's leased and I need a change.

My previous car was a 1999 Saturn SL-1, blue with gray bumpers. It was an awesome car that served me well, but started having major issues. Luckily we sold it to a guy who loves to fix up cars for $500 (much more than the dealership was going to give us).

I absolutely LOVE my new Soul... It's so much fun to have a new car too... My old one didn't even have anti-lock breaks, haha. All the new technology is fun.

I traded in my 2003 Chevy Cavalier. Loved my little car, but definitely needed something bigger. At 83,000 miles I also started to notice some peculiar "clunks" coming from the front end, it was time for it to go before it started nickel and diming me to death! AND I only pay $75 more a month for my brandy new Soul !

A 2000 BMW 323i, never would have thought Id drive a kia but got so sick of bmw upkeep costs out of warranty, decided to buy a new car with the best warranty (kia/hyundai). So here I am. My insurance went down with the soul and I got a great interest rate so its only $100 more a month than the BMW. Love my new soul.

03 Hyundai tiburon v-6 6sp. Was a sweet car when it wasn't broken. Thing was the biggest POS as far as falling apart and breaking.
