Thread: Headlight Adjustment Help

Hi, I installed HID's over the summer and I adjusted the beam down so its not so blinding for on coming traffic. But its been buggin me that i can't find a adjustment for left and right. Does anyone know if you can? Because mine point to far to the right for my liking. Thanks for any info you can provide!

If you were to take the headlight off the car and look at the back of the headlight. You will see that there was a "thought" to have the ability to adjust the headlight left or right. They molded the adjustment point in to the back of the headlight but they never connected it or made the headlight adjustable left or right.
So no you can't adjust the headlight left or right just up and down.

That answers me too. I had asked this several months ago because I noticed the two beams just appear too close together, and the geometry horizontal seems to also change JUST a bit when adjusting vertical with the little brass "gear" (I still can't find that tool, so just turn by hand)

I want the horizontal adjustment to get just a LITTLE more seperation between the lights...and to then KEEP them from being too far left.

OK whilst we (UK & Europe model) Souls cannot adjust left / right automatically WE CAN adjust up / down automatically from inside the car as ours are ELECTRICALLY ADJUSTABLE. Woooo

Where the US models have a dash instrument light dimmer switch, we have a headlight adjuster dial.

Whoa now that is a cool feature! Is that gov mandate or is a slick option?

Standard option on most European cars - where headlights can be adjusted according to load being carried, from setting 0 (driver only/driver & front passenger), to 4 = passengers & towing. Headlights adjust level as the car ride angle changes so they stay correctly aligned on the road and do not blind oncoming vehicles.

It's also fun to flick from 0 to 4 when stationary to freak out people, as it looks like the car is giving them the "once over", lighting them up slowly form toes to head.

That would be a cool option to have!!! Someone in the UK needs to check if parts are available!!!!

how did you actually adjust the headlights to face more down? im having the same issue with mine facing too high
