The heading pretty much explains it. The car is driving funny, but I can not figure out what tire has the issue. No tire shops have nitrogen. What should I do? I restarted the car a few times, and each time the light comes on, and stays on. Any ideas. I do not want to use that tire repair gunk, as I heard it renders the tire unrepairable. I also worry that if I call roadside assistance, they will take the car 30 miles away to Bob King Kia, as the dealer closer to me, Battleground Kia, are very slimy. Any suggestions would be great.
If it was me I would measure the tire pressure in all tires and add normal air to the tire(s) that need it. It is ok to mix normal air with nitrogen. If the light comes back on later, then it is likely you have a leak.
My dealer filled mine with that too when bought new. When I got it home, all the pressures were off anyway. One was 42, another 30, another 35.. etc.. So I just leveled them all out with AIR.
Just got a tire gauge from my neighbor. three were anywhere from 38-40 psi, the right rear is at 24 psi. Looks like I'm driving my mom's Ford Flex with a bad transmission to school tomorrow.
You know which tire is low. Just add some air and drive it in the morning. Plain air mixed with nitrogen won't harm the tire or you.
That's a lot better than driving a car with a bad transmission.
Went to my neighbors house and borrowed his air compressor, and got the low tire equal with the other tires. I'm going to take it somewhere to get the tire fixed tomorrow after school. Thanks for all of the advise. You all rock!
I agree with Tar Heel here. Fill the back tire with air, your Soul probably has a compressor under the storage box to fill it up. I would much rather have to air up a tire before and after school, than to drive a vehicle with a bad transmission.
