    Kia Fuel rebates

Ok, I have seen a few of you say you got your rebate cards for the fuel adjustment from Kia. I sent in mine months ago, I got an acknowledgment email saying something about the dealer having a day to review the case and then NOTHING.

Those of you who have gotten something, when and where did you buy your kia? What year is it?

Sent your what to where? Did you take your car to a dealership to get the mileage verified? Once you do that you don't have to submit anything.

I got my 2012 Soul! At the Fairfield Kia dealer last May (this is off of I-80 between Sacramento and Oakland). I went to the webpage in the Newspaper ads and typed in my VIN #, it said I was in the group covered & to fill out the form. When I hit the complete button it said to go into my deal's service dept to verify the mileage. I did a few weeks later & they typed the confirmation # in, and updated the mileage. A few weeks later a gift card with the visa logo on it came in the mail. We bought groceries for the holidays with it.

Yes, that's the proper sequence of events, to get your rebate card.

You take the form you printed off of the internet web page, to your dealer's service dept. They verify your Odometer reading and submit the request for rebate.
Each step must be done in the proper order, or it's a NO-GO. Simple, Eh?

Go through the entire process again and don't leave out any step. You'll get your rebate.

    Cheers Mate!

Yup, that's the way it works. I've done 2 cars so far. You have to bring it to the dealer so they can verify mileage.

This is way it worked for me. I went online and filled out the form stating I had driven 99,500 between 1/4/12-12/20/12 then clicked submit. In about four days I received the VISA card for $2697.54. It was very simple.

    I followed instructions.

    Went to dealer on 12.15.12

    Nothing yet.

Kia website says 15 business days to receive rebate.

    E-mailed Kia on Saturday 01.26.12.

    No response.

not sure how its handled at the dealer level in the US but at my dealer here in Canada, its processed just like a warranty claim and submitted, I got a copy of the claim which also has an invoice number on it, so it should be easier for the dealer to check with regards to his claim to make sure its been processed.
On ours it said 3-4 weeks, I submitted it November 15th and got the card in the mail on January 4th, but I think future ones will be quicker as claims will be spread out over time and not all processed at once like they have since the announcement, they have a lot of work to get that many claims done.
