    Headlight indicator on instrument cluster

When I turn on the parking lights an indicator lights up on on the instrument cluster.

However, when I turn on the headlights, there isn't an indicator that lights up.

Am I missing something? The headlights are more important than the parking lights. When I first bought the vehicle, I turned the parking lights on thinking that they were the headlights.
I don't think I have ever seen a vehicle that did not have an indicator for the headlights.

There is an indicator for the high beams, but not for the low beams.

There also is an indicator for the fogs. The fogs turn off when the high beams are active, so if you're Soul has fog lights that fog light indicator can double as your low beam indicator.

    lol.

either you don't know how to work your lights or your car is wired differently than everyone else's. there is no indicator for low beams, in my driving history, there never has been. for the high beams? yes. for the fogs? yes. for low beams and park lights? no.

now, what dmwagner is saying is that if your soul is equipped with fogs, an indicator will be illuminated. since your fogs go OFF when your high beams are lit, the fog light illuminator will go off as well. basically, since your fogs and lows are lit at the same time, and go off at the same time, the fog light indicator can be used as a low beam indicator.

but, I can tell you for a fact, that unless your car wiring is screwed up, there is NOT an indicator when you turn on your parks. you must be confusing your park lights with your fogs, the little pictures on the stalk can look similar. the only way an indicator will light up is if your fogs or highs are in use.

Fog lights only come on during low beam operation, which in turn, also means that the fog light indicator also only illuminates during low beam operation.

So... what does that mean? That your fog light indicator will turn on when you have low beams on and turn off when you have high beams on and that is how you can tell you have your headlights on.

Mine has an indicator for when the headlights are on? I have the Soul+ with auto headlights so maybe that's different. But there's definitely a green symbol for headlights that is on whenever the headlights are on - at least in Auto mode. Never tried it manually though. I don't have fogs either.

Weird. 2013 must be different. I have a low beam indicator.

    Interesting.

The low beam indicator doesn't come on for me either. I run my lights on Auto except in the winter where I just switch the switch to on. Never have seen the low beam indicator.

perhaps this is something new for the 2012s+. if so, that's all you had to say.
