Thread: Better 18" tires.

hey guys, I know this has been talked about a lot but I just have one tire that I wanted to know if any of you use on your 18s. I am looking at getting the Michelin Primacy MXM4
Have any of you guys used these on your 18s? and if so, with what results? Any advice is welcome! I am leaning towards these because tirerack gives them a great review, low rolling resistance tires, and fairly cheap.

We have the 16-inch version on our 2012 Soul +. They're a vast improvement over the OEM Hankooks.

That thread was pointless especially as to what I'm asking. I know they are good tires but I'm asking how they are on the 18s

I didn't read that thread, but said there was many threads on the subject - just giving you a start

Tire quality is pretty translatable between sizes. There is nothing special or extraordinary about 18s, other than their cost.

The special part about our 18s is the small sidewall. Not all tires with sidewalks have a comfortable ride. Some have better ride quality than others. I'm trying to find out how these are on our 18s with the smaller sidewall.

I got these installed during the last snow storm. Definitiley an improvement over the factory 18" tires (they had about 33k on them and I was sliding every where.

You can buy tires wherever you get the best price and service but I suggest you call TireRack and see what they recommend. They sell every major brand and every employee at TireRack is required to become knowledgeable about tires. A LOW PROFILE tire will always ride harder then a higher profile but I have never heard anyone on this forum claim a Nexan or Hankook rode softer than any replacement brand.
