can the soul be towed behind a motorhome?

I am told by the salesman that the Soul[manual transmission] can be towed [4 down]behind my motorhome .I have seen nothing in writing. Does any one here know or would any one be willing to check their owners manual to see if he is BS'ing me for the sale
    Thanks in advance

Everything can be towed. No? Just make sure it's left in neutral.
Much more of an issue with automatics.

Don't know what warranty issues you encounter putting lots of mileage on a car as a towed vehicle though.

I never understood why you'd ant to abuse and disfigure a car by towing it 4 down on a regular basis.

There's no reason you can't tow a vehicle four down, ever, that I can think of. As Slarty said, you put wear and mileage on the car, but it can be done in neutral. Just make sure your parking break is off too.

    I love my Soul...
I hate Kia for not standardizing parts and accessories.

I just saw a large diesel-pusher on the highway yesterday towing a Jeep Liberty. I thought- How much cooler would that be towing a Soul?

Thanks for the replies every one. Although I still don't have an answer. I have not bought a "Kia Soul" yet. It is a deal breaker if it can not be towed 4 down with out registering on the odometer like many other "towds" out there

i don't know espacialy for the soul but a lot of car can be towed, some directly, some need to have the engine running and some cant be towed. for the automatic tranny on a dolly , if only the rear wheels hit the ground, there is no prolblem and you won't put any mileage on it but almost all dolly are oversized(too large) and need an excessive size license. for the manual tranny on the ground, find a garage specialised in transmision. they will look at the spec. of the tranny and tell you because in my previous job, i already saw a few time a dealer said it can be towed and it can't so it cost a tranny to the guy. or check near you if there is a motorhome association. most of these have a complete list of car that can be towed

You will have to install a transmission fluid pump. The Soul's transmission pump only runs when the engine is driven. The motorhome will then run the transmission pump while you're towing the soul.

You may also need an axle lock installed if it's even possible to install on the Soul. The Remco company may be able to provide a product. Not all FWD cars can accept and axle lock.
