Talking How do you play music from an Android phone to the KIA Soul?

I currently have an iPhone 4 and I use it to listen to music on my 2010 KIA Soul. I have been with iOS devices for about almost a year and want to try an Android phone. So after playing around with my friends' Android phones I became fascinated with some of them and I'm eager to buy one. But i also want to know how I would play music from an Android phone to the 2010 KIA SOUL? Is there a special USB similar to the one I use with my iPhone 4 for an Android phone or any other specific hardware?

    I have a 2010 KIA Soul +.

No. You just use a 1/8" stereo patch cable. You won't be able to control your phone's music from the steering wheel though.

You can stream over bluetooth, BUT Kia won't sell you the feature without upgrading the head unit too.

I have a 2012 and a Galaxy S3. I pair mine to UVO and and stream away. My steering wheel controls let me switch tracks up and down. It even shows the song title on the UVO display if I use Google Music to play. Pretty cool setup.

With a normal audio cable you will get engine noise. I know I do. You need an audio cable with ferrite cores (the round magnets that enclose the cable). If you plug it in the USB port to charge, you need a USB cable with ferrite cores also. I have both and still get a little engine noise. But without them, I was going crazy with the constant hum of my engine playing through my speakers.

That's weird. I have the cheap stereo cable from Radio Shack and I don't get any noise. Maybe something is screwy with the grounding on your jack...
