    Change your Cabin Air Filter!

Just a friendly reminder, Change those cabin air filters!

My Soul smelled very musty when the vents were on, the car is just a year old, but sure enough, the cabin air filter was DISGUSTING!

Very easy to change, you do have to remove the glovebox, but it's just 8 screws. I can almost guarantee your filter is VERY dirty.

By the way, I found a 2 pack of cabin air filters on Ebay somewhere, shipped to my door in Canada from the USA for about $20! Its a no brainer.

Yes, my Kia smells fresh and clean again! And not just because I took a shower this morning!

...Glad to find this thread. I took the screws (glovebox) out yesterday, but nothing wanted to budge. I applied enough pull and force that I thought I might break something. There was a (one screw)plastic cover in the back of the glove box that looked to be the size for a filter to be behind, but, it too, would not be moved and again, I did not want to break the thing. Can someone who has done this give some pointers or advise. Thanks for your attention.

My guess is you are probably missing a screw or pushpin, happened to me but I found the one I was missing. Once all of them are out it should come out pretty easy, but it's been a year so can't remember exactly.

Although sad to say, the smell has now returned. I know there is a service bulletin somewhere on this. So Kia should fix it. I don't know where exactly but I did read it and you should be able to find it on the forum. When I get my next oil change done I am going to ask them to do the service because the car is NOT fun to drive with this damn smell!
