    Question Hacking/Modifying UVO eServices System

Does anyone know of a way to hack/modify the programming of the basic UVO eServices System (no NAV)? I am just curious to see if there is a way I can do this to perhaps play video or other features the system is lacking. And if this is not possible, is it possible to upgrade from the basic system to a system with navigation and are those systems hackable/modifiable?

2014 Exclaim (!) with basic UVO system (no navigation).

Simple answer, there is no way possible without installing an aftermarket system.

What does the UVO eServices radio looks like without nav? Does it look the same as the NAV version, but just missing the software?

it will look like this, but as we do not have eServices in Canada the Jukebox button on the right is replaced by the eServices button for the US.

2.0L, leather, power-folding mirrors, cooling glove box, auto climate, smart key/push-button start, heated steering wheel

Interesting. I just upgraded to what I though was the only other available Soul radio, but it doesn't have e-services or Jukebox button. In it's place it just a button to turn off display.

That's unfortunate. I was hoping somebody would have an idea. But I guess I should have known by the complete lack of information on it, that this was the case.

Does anyone know the operating system that UVO runs on? Maybe I can talk to some of my programmer friends and see if they can come up with something...

The UVO system DID run on Microsoft of some sort. I'm not sure if the current systems still do.

The system is not capable of playing video it isn't like something is disabled or it isn't being used to it's fullest. Let us know what your programmer friends find.

a bit surprised the OP asked the OS of the unit as it tells you right on the dash and in the front cover of the UVO owners manual

    "UVO powered by Microsoft"

2.0L, leather, power-folding mirrors, cooling glove box, auto climate, smart key/push-button start, heated steering wheel
