If it's possible to move brake pedal away from gas pedal by just an inch or more ?

Hey Ryan, I think it has to do with the fact our MT Souls do not have the oversized brake pedal that automatics come with.

Not sure why automatics come with such a ginormous pedal. I notice it everytime I dive an automatic. It seems remedial

Perhaps different footwear. Something minimalist that provides a little more room and better pedal feel. Like motorsport shoes or barefoot running shoes.

I'm also 6'7" but didn't notice anything on the few souls (both auto and manual I test drove. Tried sitting in a VW Jetta 5 speed and my size 14 shoe barely fit between the brake pedal and the "wall" to the right of the gas pedal. Judging by this picture, seems like there is lots more room in the soul.

Trust me I feel your pain though. Did you ever get this figured out?

I left-foot-brake so it's not an issue. That said, you could or get a shop to put a different cover on the brake, one whose surface is further to the left.

Pedal positions are slightly different between the 1st (my 2011) and 2nd gen (dad's 2016).

But I never got an problem with my 16" foot. Mostly since, from when I start driving, I always take my shoes out and drive with my socks.

I have gotten better, but still happens on occasion
When it has, I have looked closely what is touching & it's just the lower edge of the brake pedal
I plan to remove pad, It must come off because they have replacement pads.
I'm gonna cut a small portion of the metal pedal & trim the pad
I will post a follow up when that is done.
