Which would win with equal drivers? 1/4 mile. Yes, I am 100% aware that that's not what these vehicles are all about. :) I can't help wondering, though. Hmmm... :very_drunk:

When you take out the shift lag for the manual and subtract at least 8% of the HP from the automatic due to drive line loss then factor in the 120lbs extra for the auto you are just about equal. There is a .5 second difference in the 1/4 mile ETs of the two so as I say real close. With the manual you would be looking at two shifts and cross the line in I believe 3rd gear if the revs are reasonable. I honestly believe you would be 3 to 4 tenths quicker just getting rid of the manuals shift lag.

Is that perhaps the lights from a Walmart store? If so then those are parked cars in your mirror and really don't factor into your assertion of power and speed.

LOL

Sure

Chevy 350 crate motor, Built 700R4 tranny and a 2800 stall converter and 8.5 posi 1969 Nova rear end with 345 gears. 3" body lift and 31x10.5x15 tires. Did a 15.8@108MPH burning through 1st and 2nd. Traction is only a dream when you get on it. It weighs 2800lbs.so she is a 12 second truck if I could hook up but these days I just use her for around town and going to Home Depot. No power steering and so so brakes are not a delight. Front wheels are 6x6.5 Mazda bolt hole pattern and the rear is 5x4.5 chevy.

I purchased the truck abut 10 years ago from CA. and did the swap. This is my 5th B2000/2200/2600I so I have always liked these trucks save the little 4 bangers when they have about 140K they start to smoke like a furniture factory fire.
