Thread: Passenger side window repair

About 3 weeks ago, my Soul was broken into. Since then, there have been 2 attempts to replace the glass, but what comes in won't fit. Seems the window needed doesn't exist!! Anyone else have a similar problem with Kia not producing a part that you need to drive? any ideas?

Is it the dealer having trouble with an OEM part ?

Seems like you should be able to get the right one, even if you got it off a salvaged Soul.

Were are you trying to get your glass from???

Add the "OEM Parts" endorsement to your insurance. It is like 4 bucks a month. I had the same problem when I had a cracked windshield, they couldn't get the right glass. Added the endorsement and got a Kia windshield. It is worth it too, because if there is an accident they will replace with new parts, not with "salvage parts with mileage of equal or lesser value".
