Thumbs down Air conditioner smelling bad?

Alot of times when the car is off for awihle I turn it on, turn on the air conditioning and the air coming out smells bad. I can't stand it and after a minute or two it goes away but is there any one else experiencing this? How do I fix this?

Change your cabin air filter and spray the compartment with lysol before you put the new filter in.

A good practice is to turn the a/c off a mile or so before stopping, and run the fan (NOT on recirc). This warms the a/c condenser so it doesn't have moisture (or as much moisture ) on it when stopped. That moisture can lead to stinky mold / bacteria growth.

10 minutes to remove the glove box, change the filter and reinstall. I had a coil coating put on when we removed the R134a refrigerant and replaced it with something new.
