Many of you are probably aware the original thread was deleted. The very nice Mod said it was a troll issue and encouraged me to repost. So please do not reply to the disruptive trolls who prey on these forums & many others.
One of the previous posters equated them to ****roaches-you can't really get rid of them, just ignore them.
This is the next to last post I posted yesterday, so I don't know what other troll or responses were posted, before the thread was deleted:
About 5 hours ago I abandoned the car in a parking lot. As I said I only drive this car when it is necessary & with family coming over for the afternoon/dinner, I had to run some errands. As I was coming out of a parking lot onto a 6 lane divided highway, making a right hand turn, it forcefully headed into a right turn doughnut. I was shy of the center lane & it was like trying to steer a truck with no power steering. I had "both hands" trying to force it to the left or straight and it just was locked into a right hand circle. I slammed the brakes and it stopped. I could see the traffic that was stopped at the light that was previously to my left behind me, when I attempted to turn right, was approaching & I was now almost 180 back into the right lane. I backed up, as I didn't want to attempt another turn, without any problem & I steered it straight & was able to get it into the next entrance of the parking lot w a slight left hand steer, not a turn. WTH ???? I called my neighbor to come & pick me up, as I was more than shaken & his advice was to leave it there, call the Lemon Lawyers in the morning & get their advice as to letting the dealer come & tow it, or I have it towed, etc. There was absolutely no way that I could get it to unlock while in the turn. This was more than scary. I am so glad that there was no traffic around me. There is something very, very wrong here. No hands, one hand, 2 hands, 3 hands, 4 hands....... it truly has a mind of it's own & this is the icing on the cake. I literally pulled that car so hard to the left, that for an hour or so afterwards, my left wrist & forearm felt sprained. Who knows, maybe it just needs a 7th alignment or another tire rotation? 1011 miles & now it does tricks!
Thanks again to all of your nice replies, advice, and links. I just want to go enjoy my grandkids & daughter in law for the rest of the day after this nightmare.
Later last night I posted this:
I'm still rattled over this & just wanted to add that when I was pulling so hard to the left & it was going so hard to the right that the car was fishtailing until I slammed on the brakes.
Since this post, my neighbor & his son went to get my papers/personal items out of the car last night. Since the lot was not well lit, not 24 hr stores, they felt it was not safe there about 3 miles from my house. The grown son who has a Hyundai as one of his cars drove the car back & the first thing he said to me was, "And they are telling you nothing is wrong with this car? It definitely has a steering issue". We parked the car at the end of my driveway for easy access for towing. I have the appointment tomorrow ( Tuesday) with the Lemon Lawyers and called them this morning & they said leave it there until we meet tomorrow. I spent 1 hr 43 min on 2 calls today with KIA. They suggested to have it towed to the 3rd dealer of 3 which is 43 miles round trip. Another suggestion was to call KIA leasing/finance & ask them about a buyout/lease termination. Finance/Leasing informed me that they have absolutely nothing to do with that as it would have to come from KIA as they are the manufacturer who built the vehicle. I am so done with this. I am really trying to play nice with KIA & avoid all the dragged out legal formalities to come & still not having anything to drive.
KLAS thanks so much for the Philly link-I printed it out. And to all the other posters advice/suggestions/concerns. Sradiator also said if the car wasn't under warranty, they would surely find fixes/parts. How true!
There is a smile to this nightmare from yesterday. My neighbors wife came over this morning and said when she asked her son last night what he thought was wrong with the car, thinking she would not understand, he said, " Mom this car went right, right, right, AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALL the Way Home. (he has small children)![]()
