Thread: Help!!! Paint on door chipping!

Ok I hope this helps and I hope you can see the spot.

that part of the door is for sure wrapped in vinyl. Did you color it with a marker? It make be deep enough that it got in to the paint, but if it is white underneath, than that's just the color of the car.

don't think its chipping it looks more like someone hit it with a door edge in a parking lot. If you look close you can kind of see a squiggly line from the top of the frame to the bottom with the deeper gouge on the lower, someones been trying to do some damage.

Yes it does look like tape on that part of the doors, if you installed side window visors it would cover it up.

Sinbad7- No I did not try to color it with a marker. Should I try it? I am afraid it's too deep to do anything like that with.

No I wouldn't try that, the lighting in the photo makes it look like you tried that. I would just get some vent visors lol that's how I solved my issue!

Look at all the scratches on the body of the car above the door seal in the photo. Looks like someone might have been trying to get in the car with a wedge and a slim jim or something.

Time to repaint the entire car!
