Thread: 2012 Squeak/Creak

My 2013 driver's seat squeaks too. Tried reseating the bolts that hold down the seat but no go. If I reach down on the left side of the seat and squeeze the rails together it stops. Might try wedging something in there, or try some grease. Not a big deal and doesn't do it all the time but just enough to be annoying.

Seems that using the seat lifter to raise the seat the smallest amount from fully down solved my squeak. I had it all the way down and just raised it a tiny bit and now the squeaking is gone (at least for now!)

My problem ended up being the left front seat bolt. Kia tried to fix it by tightening the bolt, which only made it worse. I removed the bolt, sprayed it with WD-40 and placed a rubber washer on the bolt........Problem solved.

Finally, found the squeak. Back seat drivers side. If you put presure on it squeak goes away. Took it in after much care taken to make sure where it was. They have ordered a new latch and stricker. Yay !!!!

instead of buying a new soul I should just buy yours --you never have any issues with it lol

My drivers seat creeks when I take turns. I have found that it only does it when. The seat is in its lowest position. If I raise it one pull of the adjustment lever it stops. There must be something there that is just slightly making contact when the seat is lowered all the way.

you'll have to wait for a few years, when I might trade it for another or perhaps go back to the Rondo, (really curious about the new model coming up).
Now 14 months ownership and no problems
