I had this issue one time only with my 2013 Soul Base. I have not been able to replicate the issue though. I can confirm the issue though, it did occur to me.

I've had the same issue with our 2013 Base.
It is not usually garaged and the problem happens intermittently.
I did confirm that pulling into the garage weakens the signal enough to loose audio.
The "trick" of turning the car off and then back on usually "fixes" it.
Not sure what firmware version I have. Is tht something I can view in the menu options through the head unit?
Where on earth is Pennapolis, Ky.? Even Google earth never heard of it. Anyway, I used to run XM in the big truck all the time, and occasionally it (and my gps) would refuse to load, but mostly that was in cold weather, which likely wouldn't be an issue in N. Hollywood. It is entirely possible that the satellite radio keeps track of it's satellites by maintaining power to the antenna even when shut off, and that when parked under cover with no signal available (which would include next to a building or tree that blocks the satellites to the south at the equator), it simply becomes disorented, thus requiring a reboot (restarting of the vehicle) to bring it back to it's senses. Just a theory.
